Wow. Steam seem to be going all-out on the last minute bargains for gamers wanting to treat each other to some fun this Christmas, as they’ve slashed what’d appear to be a small Brazilian rainforest worth of prices across most of their range. Believe me, if there’s someone you forgot about, and want to give them the gift of a game this year, believe me, now’s the time to do it. But there is a few grinches lurking in the store. More after the jump.
Looking through the archives myself, I saw that Activision have only cut prices on 8 of their 24 games on sale. None of those involve Call of Duty, and the only games they have cut prices on have been old games that were only €20 anyway (with the exception of the new Wolfenstein, there’s €15 off that).
EA are almost worse again, with their only game on sale that I could see on their publisher page, being today’s Mirror’s Edge special.
It makes me wonder why when other publishers go to great lengths to give us good bang for our buck this Christmas, that the two giants wouldn’t have a little bit of spirit and do the same. But then again, with those two being, well, those two it was always going to be expecting too much anyway.
