.. Because the last week or so outside of here was LOUD!!!
No seriously, with it being Raising and Giving Week in College (RAG Week) – mostly Raising Hell and Giving Cheek I’ll admit, which isn’t the purpose at all – I’ve been too busy being AFK enjoying myself to even think about playing games (and the only one I did play was like one song on Guitar Hero). Luckily for you (and for me) the next month or so should be mental with new releases.
This coming Friday (26th Feb) sees the release of Heavy Rain, which hopefully I’ll be expanding on my thoughts about the demo and seeing if the final release lives up to the expectations.
The Friday after (though it may be Tuesday via Steam, either the 2nd or 5th of March) sees the release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, a squad-based shooter that promises to knock Modern Warfare 2 off its perch, so I’ll be seeing how that goes. I’ve played the multiplayer demo on PS3 but somehow shooters feel more at home to me on PC, so I’ve opted for the Steam pre-order in order to get the handful of bonuses they’re offering,
Finally on Tuesday the 9th of March, the Western world will finally get its hands on Final Fantasy XIII in English for the first time, and I’ll be sinking some time into it to see if I was right for calling out the press on its slanted negative reaction towards the game.
Oh and yes, I’m also aware I use brackets too much and veering off to the side for no reason. Save the flak, I know I really have to ditch the habit.
