..just how much I hate summer?
Well, I do. I despise summer. And no, it’s not because it’s considered gaming’s off-season. It’s because, despite being seen as the holiday time of the year, I actually have lots of work to do.
I live out in the countryside, as the geo-tags on my post will tell you (are they visible to readers or is it just on my Twitter feed?) and as I’ve made reference to a few times before. This means I’ve got lawns to cut, hedges to trim, as well as a job to go to, and all of this cuts out of my free time. Which means less time to spend on the web, and less time gaming.
It kinda maddens me since this is supposed to be the time of the year that I get to catch up on the older games that I missed out or fell behind in earlier in the last 9 months. Like Final Fantasy 13, BioShock 1 & 2, The Ballad of Gay Tony, and replaying Heavy Rain to try to go for the Platinum trophy (which would be my first), as well as buy games that I was waiting for a price drop, or just kept putting back, like Super Street Fighter 4, Dragon Age: Origins and Bayonetta, amongst others.
The sooner I move to a town apartment that I don’t have to worry about both gardening, and being too far from the game store, the better.
